7th June, Vestition Ceremony of 11 Brothers Held at Good Shepherd Seminary

A solemn Vestition ceremony of 11 brothers was held at Good Shepherd Seminary, Dimapur, marking a significant milestone in their journey of religious formation. The event took place on June 7, with Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima, as the chief celebrant.
Among the 11 brothers vested, six belong to the Diocese of Kohima, three from the Archdiocese of Imphal, and two from the Archdiocese of Kolkata. During his homily, Bishop Thoppil congratulated the brothers for their commitment and dedication to the call of God. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to their parents and formators for nurturing their vocations and encouraged the newly vested brothers to remain steadfast and faithful in their spiritual journey.
The Eucharistic celebration was followed by a short felicitation program. Highlights included a congratulatory message from Sir Johnny Rungmei, President of the Catholic Association of Nagaland (CAN), and a cake-cutting ceremony. The joyous occasion concluded with a common festive meal, fostering fellowship and celebration among all attendees.
The event was a moment of grace and encouragement for the local Church, witnessing the growth of vocations and the faithfulness of young men choosing to follow Christ in religious life.
