24th April, VESTITION & FIRST PROFESSION OF CMC NOVICES – 2025

On 24 April 2025, the CONGREGATION OF THE MOTHER OF CARMEL
(CMC) Sanjoe Province celebrated a significant milestone with the Vesting and Religious Profession of Seven Novices. Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, the Bishop of Kohima along with other 51 Priests presided over the ceremony, filling the atmosphere with joy and vibrancy. Rev. Sr. Dr. Kaisa Rosalind CMC, the Provincial Superior accorded a warm welcome to the gathering.
Bishop James encouraged and challenged the entire congregation especially the Novices with a powerful and thought provoking homily. Our limitations are not a hindrance to God’s call. Despite our human limitations we celebrate the courage and determination of these novices to live the Religious Life in the service of God and the Church. Our Religious Profession is not just a commitment to a particular way of life but a call to an ongoing spiritual growth and renewal. One of the biggest challenges of today’s world is to resist the temptation to go in the way of the world. Religious Profession does not mean an end to struggles in life to the difficulties but a beginning of a real journey that the apostles and martyrs have walked. Following Jesus requires a willingness to let go off our attachments and follow Him whole heartedly.
The day added more colour and grace with the presence of a good number of Religious Sisters, Church leaders and faithful from far and near.
God be praised for such a wonderful day filled with an abundance of grace and blessings. CONGRATULATIONS DEAR SISTERS
