Blessing and Inauguration of Don Bosco School in Tseminyu New Town

Madam Rosemary, Chairman of the School Managing Board, delivered a speech of gratitude to the Bishop, landowner Mr. Hilo Kent, and the former and present Parish Priests. Mr. Hilo Kent expressed his satisfaction with the establishment of the school, emphasizing that his donation of land has now materialized in the form of a valuable educational institution dedicated to the future of children in the area. He extolled the significance of Catholic education and encouraged community members to seize this opportunity for their children’s learning and growth. Bishop James Thoppil, in his address, conveyed his appreciation for the priests and religious members whose tireless contributions have supported the development of the area, particularly through the establishment of the school. He addressed a common misconception regarding the financial resources of the Catholic Church, stating that the funds stem from the diligent work and sacrifices of missionaries dedicated to serving the local community.
