Madam Rosemary, Chairman of the School Managing Board, delivered a speech of gratitude to the Bishop, landowner Mr. Hilo Kent, and the former and present Parish Priests. She acknowledged their untiring dedication in bringing the vision of Don Bosco School to life. Mr. Hilo Kent expressed his satisfaction with the establishment of the school, emphasizing that his donation of land has now materialized in the form of a valuable educational institution dedicated to the future of children in the area. He extolled the significance of Catholic education and encouraged community members to seize this opportunity for their children’s learning and growth. Bishop James Thoppil, in his address, conveyed his appreciation for the priests and religious members whose tireless contributions have supported the development of the area, particularly through the establishment of the school. He addressed a common misconception regarding the financial resources of the Catholic Church, stating that the funds stem from the diligent work and sacrifices of missionaries dedicated to serving the local community. The event concluded with Rev. Fr. John Kavas offering grace for the meal, followed by a sumptuous lunch for all attendees, celebrating the collective effort that led to the realization of this educational dream.
