A Loyola Higher Secondary School (LHSS), Kiphire solemnly inaugurated the Children’s Park on 14th February by Rev Fr Jacob Charallel, Secretary to CEDOK and Chancellor of the Diocese of Kohima, Nagaland. Rev Fr Philip Magh, the Principal of LHSS welcome Special Guest, School managing board, Alumni, parents, School Staff and invited guests for the august gathering. During the inaugural Children sang welcome song to make everyone feel at home.
Rev. Fr. Jacob, the special guest blessed and inaugurated the Park. At the inaugural the special guest said that Park is more than just a playground; it’s a heaven where children can explore, learn and grow. He said that it is a vibrant space designed to foster creativity, imagination and joy for the young minds. He also reminded what our Patron saint Ignatius Loyola said about children, “Give me the children until they are seven, and anyone may have them afterwards.” He also said that opening children’s Park is the testimony of our commitment to provide a well-round education that addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our students.
Prayer for the various intentions was offered by Rev Fr Thomas Toretkiu. Rev Sr. Lucy SABS was the master of the ceremony. Vote of thanks was proposed by Rev Sr. Tresa, the Headmistress and the concluding prayer by Rev Fr Marius Patton, the vice principal. – Fr. Marius Patton
