Kohima, August 5, 2025:It was a day of immense joy and blessing at the Little Flower Training Center, Kohima, as nine novices made their First Religious Profession on August 5, 2025.
The solemn Holy Eucharist began at 7:00 a.m., with Fr. Vengakunnel Thomas SDB, Novice Master of the Salesian Province of Dimapur, as the main celebrant, joined by 19 concelebrating priests.
Accompanied by their parents, the novices entered in a prayerful procession, led by Sr. Sania Josephine Chakre, the Novice Mistress. The chapel was filled with devotion as the young sisters prepared to consecrate their lives to God.
In his homily, Fr. Thomas exhorted the newly professed to treasure their vocation, reminding them that religious life is a gift and a mission. He emphasized living joyfully and faithfully in service to God and His people.
Following the Eucharist, the newly professed Sisters expressed their gratitude and felicitated the dignitaries, thanking all who had guided and supported them on their journey.
The celebration concluded with hearts uplifted in thanksgiving, as the faithful prayed for the perseverance of the new sisters in their Salesian commitment.
