The Golden and Silver Jubilee of Religious Profession was solemnly celebrated on 14th February at 5:30 pm at the SABS Provincial House, Chumuokedima, Dimapur. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Bishop James Thopil, the bishop of Kohima, who was the main celebrant for the auspicious occasion.
The celebration honoured Sr. Elsy Manikompel SABS, the Golden Jubilarian, marking fifty years of her faithful and dedicated religious life. Along with her, the Silver Jubilarians – Sr. Mary Minj SABS, Sr. Liy Lemoru SABS, Sr. Reena Olapurackal SABS, Sr. Stella Rose Thouthang SABS, Sr. Clare P. Awungshi SABS and Sr. Martha Athing SABS – gratefully celebrated twenty five years of committed service in the vineyard of the Lord.
The solemn Eucharist was prayerful and meaningful, filled with thanksgiving to God for the gift of vocation and for the generous witness of the Jubilarians. The celebration was graced by the presence of many priests and religious sisters, as well as the parents and relatives of the Jubilarians, making the occasion a joyful family gathering.
Following the Holy Mass, a short felicitation programme was held in honour of the Jubilarians. The programme concluded with a fellowship meal, fostering a spirit of joy, unity and thanksgiving among all present. The celebration was a moment of grace and gratitude for the beauty of a life totally dedicated to His Service.
