REV. FR. DOMINIC SELOSIE (1979-2022)

Fr. Dominic Selosie belongs to a very humble, devout and dedicated Catholic Pochuri family of Lephori Village under Meluri Parish. Having fulfilled the required formation and studies, Fr. Dominic was ordained a priest for the diocese of Kohima on 7th January 2013 by Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, in his village, Lephori. His priestly motto was “By the grace of God I am what I am” (2 Cor. 15;10). Since his ordination, he has carried out priestly and pastoral responsibilities in various parishes in the diocese, till his demise on 24th November 2022. The ministries carried out by him include:

2013:               Asst. Priest at St. Joseph Church, Tseminyu

2015 – 17 :       Asst. Priest at St. Thomas Church, Tuensang

2017 – 19 :       Asst. Priest at St. Mary’s Church, Lakhuti

2019 – 21 :       Asst. Priest at St. Dominic Church, Chiephobozou

2012 – 22 :       Asst. Priest at St. Mary’s Church, Lozaphuhu

Fr. Dominic was very humble, simple, determined and dedicated priest. He was very pastoral minded and was available for any service. He was hard working and never complained about anything. His down to earth life style and friendly approach to everyone is a hallmark of his personality. In his demise, the diocese has lost a committed and promising priest and pastor. We pray for the repose of his soul. May God grand him eternal peace and rest.  May the grace of God give consolation and strength to his parents and siblings at this moment of grief.

May he rest in Peace
